Kim Young Dae To Enlist In The Military This Spring
Actor Kim Young Dae has announced his enlistment.
On the 25th of March, his agency released an official statement saying, “Kim Young Dae will enlist in April. He will fulfill his military duty as an active-duty soldier.”
Born in March 1996, Kim Young Dae is currently 30 years old. He is expected to enlist in April and be discharged around next fall.
Last year, he solidified his position as an actor by showcasing a wide acting spectrum through the MBC drama Moon to the Moon and the TVING original Dear X. In an interview conducted ahead of his enlistment, he expressed a mature mindset, saying he would use his military service as an opportunity for growth.
At the time, he said, “Military service is something all men go through, but in a way, it feels like a comma—a short rest in a long journey. After I’m discharged, I want to meet more roles that I truly desire and can do well.”
Meanwhile, Kim Young Dae debuted in 2017 with the web drama Just One Bite Special Edition. He gained public attention with Extraordinary You and rose to fame through the hit series The Penthouse. He has since remained active across both historical and modern dramas, including Shooting Stars, The Forbidden Marriage, and Moon in the Day.
