One Of The Korean Industry’s Longest Standing Couples Revealed To Have Registered Their Marriage 4 Years Ago

Actor Koo Kyo Hwan and director Lee Ok Seop have reportedly been married since four years ago.

According to an October 1 report by Xports News, Koo Kyo Hwan and Lee Ok Seop registered their marriage back in 2022 and have been legally husband and wife ever since.

Known as one of the film industry’s most long-running couples, the two have been together since 2013 and publicly confirmed their relationship in 2020. Two years later, in 2022, they quietly registered their marriage.

They had long been known as a couple with 13 years of history, but the news that they had actually already become legally married four years ago has come as a surprise, only now coming to light.

The two did not hold a separate wedding ceremony after registering their marriage, and reportedly have no current plans to do so.

Meanwhile, Koo Kyo Hwan and Lee Ok Seop are alumni of the Seoul Institute of the Arts and have worked together on numerous projects, including “Fourth-Grade Bogyeong,” “Documentary Of Love,” “Fly To The Sky,” and “Maggie.” They also co-run the production company 2X9HD.

Their collaborations have continued recently as well. The two worked together on the buzzworthy film “Your Country,” led by comedian Jang Do Yeon, followed by “Love Counselor,” known as actress Lee Na Young’s return to acting. “Love Counselor” is currently in the middle of filming.

Koo Kyo Hwan has also kept up an active slate as an actor. Starting with the film “What If We,” which was released at the end of last year, he went on to appear in the film “The Swarm” and JTBC’s “Everyone Is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness.” He’s currently meeting audiences with “Resurrection Man: The Red,” which opened on September 30, and the film “Heavy Snow” is also slated for release later this year.
