Actor Do Kyungsoo has been doing rounds of interviews for his upcoming movie “Secret: Untold Melody” and his comments about a potential public reveal of his relationship gained attention!
A remake of the 2008 Taiwanese film of the same name, “Secret: Untold Melody” tells the story of Yoo Joon (played by Do Kyungsoo), a genius pianist and music student, and Jung Ah (played by Won Jin Ah), a mysterious girl with a secret she cannot reveal.
Do Kyungsoo reflected on how thrilled he was to take part in this project, sharing, “I’ve always wanted to do a romance film, so I was particularly excited about this role.” He was especially drawn to the university campus setting of the story, admitting that it fulfilled a personal longing: “I’ve never experienced campus life, so I have this kind of yearning for it. Through this movie, I got to live that dream vicariously.”
However, portraying a genius pianist came with its challenges, as Do Kyungsoo had no prior experience playing the piano. “I couldn’t even read sheet music at first, so I was initially worried about that,” he said.
He added, “I took lessons from a teacher and also watched videos to study the gestures of real pianists. Although I only had about three weeks to prepare, my background as a dancer helped—I memorized the piano pieces as if I were learning choreography.”
He mentioned that drawing on stories of love and advice he had heard from friends helped him tap into the emotional depth needed for the role. W
During the interview, he reflected on his past experiences and was was asked if fans might see him enter a public relationship like some of his celebrity friends, including Lee Kwang Soo and Kim Woo Bin. With a chuckle, he confidently replied, “You’ll never see that happening with me.”
Kyungsoo has led a very private life and does not discuss his love life at all, his comments about potentially going public with a relationship gained attention among fans.
