The Identity Of Lee Dong Gun’s Reported New Girlfriend Revealed, He Personally Comments On The Rumors
Top star Lee Dong Gun has spoken out directly for the first time regarding the swirling dating rumors involving fellow actress Kang Hae Rim.
On the same day the dating reports surfaced, Lee Dong Gun addressed the issue in a phone call with Sports DongA. When asked about the truth behind the rumors, he responded cautiously, saying, “I don’t think it’s something I should speak on directly.”
Before his vague but notable comment—which neither confirmed nor denied the speculation—both actors’ agencies had similarly refrained from making a statement, stating, “It’s the actor’s private life,” and that they couldn’t confirm anything.
The dating rumor began on the 28th of May when a media outlet reported that Lee Dong Gun had been spotted on a date with a beautiful woman near Cheongdam-dong in Seoul. That woman was later identified in follow-up reports as actress Kang Hae Rim, sparking widespread discussion as the speculation turned into a named dating rumor.
In the same conversation with Sports DongA, Lee Dong Gun also confirmed he would continue appearing on the SBS variety show “My Little Old Boy,” where his presence has been well received.
Born in 1980, Lee Dong Gun was one of the top youth stars of the 2000s and is currently enjoying what many consider a second heyday through variety appearances.
