Famous Korean Actor Experiences Excessive Privacy Invasion, Agency Warns Against Disturbing Actions
Actor Lee Dong Wook’s agency has announced strong legal action against those who have crossed the line with excessive invasion of privacy and what they said about some sasaengs [obsessive so-called fans] actions have caused a shock among fans.
Recently, King Kong by Starship, Lee Dong Wook’s agency, released an official statement saying, “Recently, there have been continuous incidents of privacy violations, such as unauthorized visits to the artist’s unofficial schedules, residence, and private spaces, attempts to make contact, and leaving inappropriate letters.”
They continued, “We will take strict legal measures against all forms of privacy invasion, including visiting the artist’s residence, intruding into private spaces, tracking unofficial schedules, and leaking personal information.”
The agency also warned, “Acts such as unlawfully obtaining flight information during overseas schedules or personal trips, or attempting to approach the artist by boarding the same flight, will also be regarded as privacy invasion and will be subject to legal action.”
They further emphasized, “We once again inform you that such actions are clearly illegal, and we ask fans to refrain and cooperate to ensure the safety and rights of the artist.”
