Lee Jae Wook To Reportedly Release His 1st Ever Album During His Military Enlistment

Actor Lee Jae Wook is set to ease fans’ disappointment over his recent military enlistment with a reported surprise new music release.

According to reports on June 1, Lee Jae Wook will release a new album on June 11. The actor entered a training center on May 18 and is expected to continue his mandatory military service in the Army after completing basic training. Although he has begun his military hiatus, fans will still be able to see him through pre-recorded projects and upcoming music releases.

The new album comes as a gift for fans who have long praised Lee Jae Wook’s unexpected singing ability. In 2024, he appeared on the KBS2 music program “The Seasons: Zico’s Artist,” where he impressed viewers with a duet performance of Johnny alongside Zico. His rendition of Let’s Say Goodbye by Park Jae Jung also drew attention for showcasing his vocal talent. He later continued to display his singing skills during global fan meetings.

Before the album’s release, Lee Jae Wook will return to television through “Doctor On The Edge,” which premiered today. The drama follows public health doctor Do Ji Ui (Lee Jae Wook) and mysterious nurse Yuk Ha Ri, played by Shin Ye Eun, as they navigate life on the notorious island of Pyeondong-do in a medical isolation romantic comedy.
