Lee Jun Young Apologizes After Accidentally Going Up On Stage Thinking He Won An Award At The 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards
Actor Lee Jun Young has issued a swift apology for a name mix-up.
On the 18th of July, Lee Jun Young took to his personal account and wrote, “It was hard to hear clearly at the venue, and I made an unbelievable mistake. To senior Lee Jun Hyuk and his fans, I sincerely apologize once again. Congratulations on your award.”
Earlier that day, at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards held at Paradise City in Incheon, Park Bo Gum, IU, Hyeri, and Lee Jun Hyuk were announced as winners of the Popular Star Award.
However, actor Lee Jun Young mistakenly thought his name was called instead of Lee Jun Hyuk’s and went up to the stage, drawing attention. Meanwhile, the actual awardee, Lee Jun Hyuk, remained seated as Lee Jun Young took the stage, causing quite a scene.
Realizing the mistake, Lee Jun Young personally stepped down from the stage and handed the trophy to Lee Jun Hyuk, who hugged him in return. During his acceptance speech, Lee Jun Hyuk joked, “If I ever receive an award, I wanted it to be this fun.”
