Famous Idol-Actor Leaves JYP After 17 Years Together, Whats His Next Step?
Singer and actor Lee Junho is leaving JYP Entertainment after 17 years.
On the 20th of March, JYP Entertainment (hereinafter JYP) released an official statement, saying, “The exclusive contract between JYP Entertainment and Lee Junho will end on April 15. After long and in-depth discussions, both the company and the artist have decided not to proceed with a renewal.”
They continued, “Since debuting as a member of 2PM in 2008, Lee Junho has sincerely dedicated himself to both singing and acting, achieving outstanding success. Based on strong mutual trust, we have renewed our contract multiple times and shared the shining seasons of his career together. We sincerely thank Lee Junho for being part of the company’s journey and growth for the past 17 years.”
Although his exclusive contract will expire, his connection with JYP will continue through his Japanese activities.
JYP stated, “While the official contract is coming to an end, JYP will always support Lee Junho’s new challenges and brilliant endeavors. Additionally, our company will continue to handle his Japanese activities and will actively support any necessary future collaborations.”
In response, Lee Junho also expressed his gratitude, saying, “I sincerely appreciate the unwavering support over the past 17 years. I will cherish the bond we have built and the encouragement I have received as I move forward.”
