Popular Korean Actress Denies Health Issues After Being Spotted With Slight Weight Gain
Actress Moon Geun Young personally denied rumors regarding her health.
On the afternoon of the 21st of October, Moon Geun Young posted a message and photo on her social media, starting with the words, “I really wanted to say this.”
Moon Geun Young expressed her gratitude by saying, “Many people seem to be worried about my health, thankfully. I have fully recovered and I am in very, very good health right now, so I hope you will definitely write articles about that.”
Moon Geun Young was diagnosed with acute compartment syndrome in 2017 and underwent four surgeries. Acute compartment syndrome is a rare disease that occurs when there is abnormal pressure in muscles, nerves, or blood vessels, and in severe cases, all muscles within the compartment can become paralyzed or necrotic. As a result, Moon Geun Young focused on her treatment for a while, and the scars on her arm from the surgery became a hot topic when they were revealed.
On this day, Moon Geun Young made her first official appearance in a while at the Netflix series “Hellbound” Season 2 press conference. Seeing Moon Geun Young, who appeared to have gained some weight, sparked concerns that her health might be deteriorating again. Seemingly aware of this attention, Moon Geun Young took to social media after the press conference to directly clarify the situation.
Declaring that she is in very good health, Moon Geun Young added, “Although I’ve gained a little weight, I am currently on a diet, watching my harsh reality-check videos every day, so instead of worrying about my health, I hope you can cheer for my diet success.”
The second season of “Hellbound” will be released on the 25th.
