“Moving 2” Has Reportedly Cast Rookie Actor Won Gyubin To Replace Lee Jung Ha
Disney+ hit series Moving Season 2 has reportedly cast rookie actor Won Gyubin as Kim Bong Seok.
According to SPOTV News on the 16th of April, Won Gyubin will take on the role of Kim Bong Seok in “Moving 2,” replacing Lee Jung Ha who starred in season 1.
With many new characters joining the upcoming season, it was reported that around 150 actors and staff recently gathered at KINTEX in Ilsan for a full script reading. Won Gyubin is also said to have attended the session.
In Season 1, the role of Bong Seok was originally played by Lee Jung Ha, who gained attention for gaining around 30kg to portray the character. However, due to overlapping schedules between Season 2 production and his military enlistment, he will not be able to return. Lee Jung Ha enlisted in the Marine Corps training center on January 26 and is expected to be discharged in July 2027.
While Season 1 mainly focused on Bong Seok, Hee Soo (Go Yoon Jung), and Kang Hoon (Kim Do Hoon), Season 2 is expected to place more emphasis on newly introduced characters as well as the older generation. Given that the role’s screen time is relatively limited, a lesser-known rookie actor was reportedly chosen for a bold casting decision. Prompting backlash from fans.
When asked for a comment, neither the actor’s agency nor a source from the drama agreed to address the casting news.
Won Gyubin, born in 2004, debuted in 2025 through the web drama “Cheongdam International High School.” Meanwhile, “Moving 2” has completed casting and begun full-scale production, including script readings.
