The Famous Korean Actor Who Was Exempted From Military Service After Waiting For Summons For 3 Years
Actor Na In Woo has been exempted from military service!
On the afternoon of the 17th of December, his agency Hanada Company stated to Ilgan Sports, “It is true that Na In Woo became a military exemption recipient while waiting for his social service worker summons. He received a Grade 4 supplementary service classification and was waiting to be contacted by the Military Manpower Administration, but after 3 years, he was notified that he had become exempt.”
Previously, a media outlet reported that Na In Woo had become exempt from military service while waiting for his social service worker summons. After receiving a Grade 4 supplementary service classification in the military physical examination, he had been waiting for his enlistment but became an “exemption recipient” because he was not summoned by the Military Manpower Administration for 3 years.
According to the Military Service Act, if a person classified as Grade 4 supplementary service is not summoned for 3 years, they are granted a military exemption. It is reported that since 2019, more than 10,000 individuals who were scheduled for enlistment have been exempted, and this year alone, over 10,000 individuals have also received the same disposition. Na In Woo is said to be included in this list.
Meanwhile, Na In Woo received much love for the tvN drama “Marry My Husband”, which ended in February. He also appeared on KBS2’s variety show “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4” starting last February but stepped down due to military enlistment issues.
The actor is set to return with “Motel California” in January of 2025.
