Namgoong Min and Jin Ah Reum Welcome Their First Son After 4 Years of Marriage
Actors Namgoong Min and Jin Ah Reum, married for four years, have welcomed a son into their family, drawing renewed attention to the devoted support Namgoong Min has repeatedly spoken about receiving from his wife.
According to Namgoong Min’s agency on July 26, the couple recently welcomed a healthy baby boy. Namgoong Min becomes a father at 48.
The agency had previously announced last June that “a precious new life has come to actors Namgoong Min and Jin Ah Reum,” adding, “We are preparing to welcome our new family member with gratitude and excitement.”
The couple met through the 2015 film “Light My Fire” and married in 2022 after seven years of publicly dating. They are now receiving congratulations on welcoming their first son four years into their marriage.
Since marrying, Namgoong Min has repeatedly expressed his affection for his wife on broadcast. On KBS2’s “Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant,” he shared that after getting married, he came to naturally respect Jin Ah Reum’s preferences, saying, “Everyone has their own taste,” and that his own lifestyle changed as a result.
It became a topic of discussion when he revealed that Jin Ah Reum personally prepares lunchboxes for him, given the strict diet he follows for his roles. He said, “My wife packs me lunch because she thinks about my health,” adding, “Since it’s health food, the seasoning is sometimes a little light, but I really enjoy eating it.”
Cast members who saw the custom lunchbox reacted with admiration, saying things like “A lunchbox is love” and “That’s real love,” and Namgoong Min responded with a happy smile, expressing his gratitude toward his wife.
Now that the couple has become parents, fans who had already seen how attentively Jin Ah Reum cared for Namgoong Min through her carefully prepared health lunchboxes are cheering on the new family’s start, with comments like “Their baby food is probably going to be made with just as much care,” “That baby is truly blessed,” and “If the lunchboxes were that good, I can only imagine how good the baby food will be.”
