Actor Park Dong Bin Found Dead At Restaurant He Was Preparing To Open
Park Dong-bin (real name Park Jong-moon, 57) was found dead in a restaurant he was preparing to open.
According to Pyeongtaek Police Station in Gyeonggi Province on the 30th of April, an acquaintance discovered Park’s body in a restaurant located in a commercial building in Jangan-dong, Pyeongtaek City, around 4:25 PM the previous day and reported it to the police.
No criminal suspicions have been raised, and no notes or other clues regarding the circumstances were found. It was confirmed that the restaurant in question was one Park was preparing to launch.
Park made his feature film debut in 1996 with director Kang Je-gyu’s “A Field of Silver Grass” and gained recognition as a top-tier supporting actor through his roles in Kang’s films “Shiri” and “Taegukgi.”
He was also active in television dramas, appearing in various productions across the years.
Notably, during the MBC drama “It Seems Like We Loved Each Other,” which aired from 2012 to 2013, he became a topic of conversation as the “Juice Man” after performing a scene where he spat out orange juice upon hearing the secret of his daughter’s birth.
The deceased married fellow actress Lee Sang-i, whom he met through the MBC drama “Enemies From a Past Life,” in 2020, and they have one daughter. In 2024, he appeared on “Oh Eun-young’s Golden Advice Clinic” and shared the story of his daughter, who underwent heart surgery shortly after birth.
The funeral home has been set up at the Anseong Citizen Funeral Home in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province. The funeral procession is scheduled for 8:30 AM on the 1st of next month.
