In the show I’m All Grown Up, But I’m Not Moving Out, Park Hae-mi reveals that she has been bearing the full aftermath of her ex-husband’s drunk driving accident.

On the 15th, MBC Every1’s I’m All Grown Up, But I’m Not Moving Out previewed that Park Hae-mi and her son, Hwang Sung-jae, will recall the incident that caused them distress.

When her son installs a cat tower in the living room, Park Hae-mi sharply remarks, “I’m losing my mind, I can’t take this.” In response, Hwang Sung-jae uses his charm to melt his mother’s heart.

Park Hae-mi mentions, “I have a debt of 1.5 billion won [around $1,102,912], and Hwang Sung-jae and I are paying it off together.”

Reflecting on the debt, Hwang Sung-jae states, “It’s a debt that came from that incident. It’s a taboo topic in our home,” recalling the difficult time.

The incident Hwang Sung-jae referred to occurred in August 2018, when his father, Hwang Min, caused a fatal accident while driving under the influence on the riverside road in Guri City, resulting in the deaths of two passengers. Hwang Min was sentenced to three years and six months in prison. After the incident, Park Hae-mi divorced him.
