Popular Drama Announces 2nd Season, Leading Actress Unable To Join, Here Is Why
Actress Park Ji Hyun will not be appearing in “Flex X Cop” Season 2.
On the 13th of August, drama officials confirmed that Park Ji Hyun will not be joining the second season of the SBS drama “Flex X Cop.” With her departure, the production team is currently looking for another actress, though no casting has been finalized yet. Filming is scheduled to begin early next year once casting is complete.

“Flex X Cop” tells the story of a spoiled third-generation chaebol who becomes a homicide detective, solving cases with the motto “money for money, connections for connections.” The drama first aired in January 2024 and gained huge popularity, recording a peak viewership rating of 11%.
In the drama, Park Ji Hyun played Lee Kang Hyun, the head of the Violent Crimes Unit 1 at Gangha Police Station — a veteran detective with strong pride and responsibility in her work, who pours her heart into investigations while empathizing with victims. Her performance received high praise.

Instead of “Flex X Cop” Season 2, Park Ji Hyun will appear in the office romance drama “Going to Work Again Tomorrow” on tvN.
