One Of The Biggest Hallyu Actresses Is Leaving Controversial Agency, Whats Next For Her?

Actress Park Min Young is leaving her agency, Hook Entertainment.

On January 1, a representative from Hook Entertainment confirmed to OSEN, “It is true that Park Min Young’s contract has ended. We will continue to support her only until the completion of her current project.”

Since signing an exclusive contract with Hook Entertainment in 2021, Park Min Young has been actively working under the agency. After three years, both parties have decided to part ways.

Park Min Young debuted in 2006 through the MBC sitcom “High Kick!” and gained recognition with dramas such as KBS 2TV’s “I Am Sam,” “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” “Glory Jane,” and “Queen for Seven Days,” as well as SBS’s “Ja Myung Go” and “City Hunter,” and more.

She especially received immense love for her roles in tvN dramas “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim,” “Her Private Life,” and “Love in Contract.”

Currently, Park Min Young is filming the new drama Confidence Man KR (working title, written by Hong Seung Hyun and directed by Nam Ki Hoon). The drama is expected to air on tvN in the latter half of this year.

Hook Entertainment has gained a lot of backlash for its CEO treatment of its previous artist Lee Seung Gi.
