How Does This Hallyu Actor Feel About His 11-Year Gap With His Co-Star?
Actor Park Seo Joon and Won Ji An shared their thoughts on acting together while overcoming an eleven-year age difference.
Recently, at the De Ringke Hotel in Sindorim, Guro-gu, Seoul, the production presentation for JTBC’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Surely Tomorrow” was held. Director Lim Hyun Uk and actors Park Seo Joon and Won Ji An attended and talked about the work.
“Surely Tomorrow” is a work that draws a romance in which Lee Gyeong Do (Park Seo Joon) and Seo Ji Woo (Won Ji An), who dated twice at twenty and twenty-eight and then broke up, reunite as the reporter who reported an adultery scandal article and the wife of the scandal’s main character, and then have a salty and deeply affectionate romance.
The drama aired its 1st episode earlier today. Park Seo Joon plays Lee Gyeong Do, the deputy head of the entertainment department of the Dongun Daily newspaper, an office worker with a personality that is neither rough nor peculiar. After graduating from college and joining the Dongun Daily, he rose quickly from ace of the culture department to deputy head of the entertainment department and became the center of attention after breaking a scandal article about a chaebol son-in-law and a celebrity.
In the work, Park Seo Joon and Won Ji An are written as the same age, but in reality, there is an eleven-year age difference. Regarding this, Park Seo Joon said, “Because there is an actual age difference, I had a lot of worries at first and felt pressure. I thought the difference would show a lot externally,” but continued, “When I met her and talked, I found her to be very mature. She has many parts where she seems experienced and skilled. Because of that, I was able to put down the pressure. For external parts, I felt pressure, so I worked hard to manage myself,” bringing laughter. Won Ji An said, “To be honest, I didn’t really feel pressure,” and added, “I didn’t think the difference was that big in external appearance. The drama had to portray ages from the twenties to the thirties. I haven’t experienced my thirties, so I had many worries about acting in my thirties, but I thought that if I watched the senior and followed well, I could do it. Our conversations fit so well that I didn’t feel much distance.”
In the character poster revealed earlier, Park Seo Joon shows resentment toward Won Ji An by saying, “You’re still cruel,” stimulating curiosity. Expectations are rising for the heartbreaking romance that Park Seo Joon and Won Ji An, who have experienced two breakups, will portray.
