Controversy has arisen over a comment left by Lee Ju Hyeong of the professional baseball team Kiwoom Heroes on actress Park Eun Bin’s live broadcast.

Recently, Park Eun Bin conducted a live broadcast through her personal account and spent time communicating with fans. During the broadcast, a comment saying “Please do the Woo Young Woo way of speaking” was posted from Lee Ju Hyeong’s official account, drawing attention.

Park Eun Bin previously received great love for playing Woo Young Woo, a rookie lawyer with autism spectrum disorder, in the ENA drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo.” Park Eun Bin did not show any particular reaction to the comment, but afterward, a screenshot of the comment section was shared online, leading to controversy.

Some netizens responded that the request was rude, mentioning that Park Eun Bin has previously shown a cautious attitude about recreating the “Woo Young Woo way of speaking.” In a past interview, Park Eun Bin said, “As an actor, I feel an ethical responsibility that imitating real people with autism should absolutely be avoided,” adding, “I came to think that observing their appearance and using it as a tool-like device should not be done.” She also stated, “I am grateful for the love toward ‘Woo Young Woo,’ but parodying the appearance and way of speaking can unintentionally hurt others, so I sincerely ask that it be refrained from.”

As the controversy spread, Kiwoom Heroes reportedly stated, “Lee Ju Hyeong did not leave the comment with any intention, and he himself recognizes it as a mistake.”

Meanwhile, Lee Ju Hyeong joined LG Twins as the 13th overall pick in the second round of the 2020 rookie draft and was traded to Kiwoom Heroes during the 2023 season.
