Ryu Jun Yeol’s Reaction To Mention Of Ex Han So Hee At Cannes Is Going Viral Online
An anecdote involving Ryu Jun Yeol mentioning his ex-girlfriend Han So Hee is drawing attention online.
Recently, Kokawa Natsumi, CEO of Japanese film distributor L Films, shared her experience meeting Ryu Jun Yeol at the Cannes Film Festival through her social media account.
Kokawa uploaded a photo along with the caption, “I met actor Ryu Jun Yeol at the Cannes Film Festival. He said he came as a buyer.”
She continued, “I told him I had distributed a Korean film before, and he asked which movie it was.” She added, “I thought it might be a bit awkward to say it was a movie starring Han So Hee (because reports about the two dating had come out before).”
However, she explained, “When I said it was ‘Heavy Snow,’ he burst into laughter and said, ‘Of course I know Han So Hee’s movie. It’s really fun.’”
The photo released alongside the post showed Ryu Jun Yeol taking a selfie while wearing his Cannes Film Festival access badge around his neck.
Back in 2024, a netizen alleged they had seen Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol in Hawaii. Both of their agencies initially said they could not comment on the situation until it took a turn when Hyeri, who had dated Ryu Jun Yeol for nearly 7 years, issued a cryptic post saying “I find it funny/amusing” to her SNS. She also ended up unfollowing him on Instagram causing speculation over whether Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol had dated while he was still together with Hyeri.
Initially, Han So Hee issued a statement denying she’d ever be in a relationship with a taken man, however, a day later she confirmed she was indeed dating Ryu Jun Yeol via a blog post and talked about the timeline of her boyfriend and Hyeri’s breakup, leading to even more speculations and accusations.
After only 2 weeks and several more controversies, mostly relating to Han So Hee continuously discussing the topic online, the former couple broke it off. Ryu Jun Yeol’s handling of the dating news garnered immense backlash from netizens and fans.
