SBS’s “Agent Kim Reactivated” Confirms Special Episodes Ahead of Finale, Featuring So Ji Sub, Choi Dae Hoon, and Yoon Kyung Ho
SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama “Agent Kim Reactivated,” which has surpassed 22% in ratings, has confirmed a special broadcast ahead of its finale, with “Dad Universe” stars So Ji Sub, Choi Dae Hoon, and Yoon Kyung Ho all set to appear.
According to OSEN’s reporting on July 17, the 10-episode “Agent Kim Reactivated” will wrap up on July 25, with the last week of July set aside for a special broadcast. The special is reported to include behind-the-scenes footage from all 10 episodes, along with interviews with the director and lead stars So Ji Sub, Choi Dae Hoon, and Yoon Kyung Ho. Beyond the three leads, the special will also reportedly feature a variety of interviews with other cast members who stood out in the drama, along with previously unreleased behind-the-scenes making-of footage, all airing for the first time.
SBS had earlier shared the welcome news that the show’s 10-episode run would be followed by a special to ease fans’ disappointment.
An SBS representative told OSEN, “It’s confirmed that there will be two special episodes of ‘Agent Kim Reactivated.’ However, the specific content is still in discussion,” holding back details at the time — though the direction has reportedly since been finalized.
The “Agent Kim Reactivated” specials are planned to air on July 31 and August 1 under the title “Agent Kim Reactivated: The Universe.”
Meanwhile, according to Netflix’s official chart site Tudum, “Agent Kim Reactivated” recorded 9,100,000 views (total viewing hours divided by the show’s total runtime) and 59,100,000 hours viewed, holding the No. 1 spot on Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English TV Shows list for a second consecutive week. It topped the charts not only in Korea but in 22 countries including Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Oman, Qatar, Morocco, Bolivia, Peru, Nigeria, and Mauritius, and landed on the Top 10 lists of 72 countries.
“Agent Kim Reactivated” is currently past its midpoint and heading into its final stretch, with ratings climbing sharply along the way. As of its sixth episode, according to Nielsen Korea, it recorded 23.2% in the Seoul metropolitan area, 22.3% nationwide, and a minute-by-minute peak of 26.4%, setting new highs for the show itself. Excluding “The Penthouse 2,” the all-time ratings leader among SBS Friday-Saturday dramas at 29.2%, “Agent Kim Reactivated” currently ranks second, with anticipation building over whether it can break the daunting 30% mark.
