Seo Hyun Jin’ Drama Comeback Met With Disappointing Ratings In The 1% Range, Why?
Actress Seo Hyun Jin returned to JTBC for the first time in seven years through “Love Me,” but the drama is struggling, recording ratings in the 1% range.
As JTBC’s Friday series “Love Me” has aired up to episode 4, attention is being paid to its ratings. Currently, “Love Me” recorded ratings of 2.1% for episode 1, 1.5% for episode 2, 1.9% for episode 3, and 1.8% for episode 4, failing to escape sluggish performance. (Based on Nielsen Korea)
Many fans are wondering the reason behind the drama’s struggle to reach high ratings. One reason is believed to be airing the drama back to back each Friday. Others attribute the low ratings to the extremely competitive nature of the weekend dramas on Friday night.
The drama is also considered a slice of life family melodrama which tend to perform moderately in South Korea.

“Love Me” is based on the Swedish original series of the same name created by Josephine Bornebusch, and it was also remade in Australia by BINGE/FOXTEL under the same title, “Love Me.” “Love Me” airs two consecutive episodes every Friday at 8:50 p.m.
