Seohyun Spotted Using A Cane Hosting The 2024 KBS Drama Awards, Agency Issues Explanation

Singer and actress Seohyun attended the “KBS Drama Awards” as an MC while using a cane due to an injury sustained during filming.

According to OSEN on January 1, Seohyun was injured recently while filming a drama and attended the “2024 KBS Drama Awards” with a cane.

The awards ceremony, held on December 31 at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, featured Jang Sung Kyu, Seohyun, and Moon Sang Min as hosts. Due to the recent Jeju Air passenger plane tragedy, the live broadcast was replaced with a recorded session, with the winners and recorded footage to be revealed later.

Seohyun captivated fans with her beauty in a white long dress and showcased her flawless hosting skills. However, fans were concerned when she was spotted limping and using a white cane in her right hand while moving around. Videos from the event showed her visibly limping, evoking sympathy. Despite her injury, Seohyun completed her hosting duties and even waved cheerfully to fans.

Regarding her condition, Seohyun’s agency confirmed to OSEN, “She indeed sustained an injury during drama filming. She is currently receiving treatment and recovering. She will soon return to filming and rejoin the production.”

Seohyun is currently filming the new KBS2 drama I Stole the Male Lead’s First Night with 2PM’s Ok Taecyeon. The injury reportedly occurred during the filming of this drama. As she focuses on recovery, she is expected to return to the set shortly.

Her upcoming drama is a romantic fantasy drama set to air this year. It tells the story of Cha Seon Chaek (played by Seohyun), a minor background character in a novel whose body becomes inhabited by the soul of a college student. She spends a night with the obsessive male lead, Kyung Seong Gun (played by Ok Taecyeon), turning the novel’s storyline upside down.
