Popular Kdrama “Shin’s Project” Season Two Coming Soon? New Representative’s Comment Garners Attention
Interest is rising in the possibility of a second season for the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama “Shin’s Project,” which concluded its 12th episode on the 28th of October.
On the 29th of October, a representative from “Shin’s Project” told Ilgan Sports, “The production team is currently discussing the possibility of producing a second season.”
“Shin’s Project” tells the story of Shin Sajang (Han Suk Kyu), who, after gaining fame as a former Interpol crisis negotiation advisor, ends up working at a fried chicken restaurant and is repeatedly asked by Seoul District Court Chief Judge Kim Sang Geun (Kim Sang Ho) to mediate various disputes. The show premiered with a nationwide viewership rating of 5.9% based on Nielsen Korea’s paid households and gained momentum through word of mouth. Even in its later episodes, it consistently maintained ratings in the 8% range, hitting a personal best of 9.1% in episode 11.
In the final episode, the “Shin Sajang Project TF Team” is formed around Kim Sang Geun, with Jo Philip (Bae Hyun Sung) and Kim Soo Dong (Jung Eun Pyo) joining the team. Actor Kim Dong Jun also made a special appearance as a rookie judge, further raising expectations for a follow-up season.
Attention is now on whether “Shin’s Project” will return for a second season.
