Byun Yo Han is accused as the culprit of a murder case.

The first teaser video of the new MBC drama “Snow White Must Die: Black Out,” which will be broadcast on August 16th, reveals the hazy memories of the culprit Kang Jung Woo (Byun Yo Han), who caused a sensation in the world 11 years ago with a murder case in which the body was not found.

“Snow White Must Die: Black Out” is an adaptation of the hit novel “Snow White Must Die” by Nele Neuhaus, which has been loved worldwide. It is a backward crime thriller that traces the process of a young man who became a criminal with a murder history 10 years later to uncover the truth of that day. It is receiving attention as the drama debut of director Byun Young Joo, who directed the films “A Hard Day” and “Chaser”.

The teaser video highlights the ruined life of Kang Jung Woo, a high school student who was accused of brutally killing two friends in Mucheon City 11 years ago. Despite showing violent behaviors without any hesitation, such as roughly pushing aside a classmate and striking with a blunt weapon, Kang Jung Woo, who was accused of committing the crime, has no memory left in his mind.

Even Kang Jung Woo, who began to doubt the crime himself when his parents turned against him, adds bitterness by saying, “I killed them.” Moreover, Kang Jung Woo, who is just a 20-year-old high school student who has not yet taken off the image of a teenager, is marked as a target among all kinds of violent offenders in the prison and suffers from various abuses. In his stern gaze, which has finally turned dark after enduring continuous violence, his desolate inner thoughts can be felt.

Meanwhile, detective Noh Sang Chul (Go Joon), who is assigned to re-investigate Kang Jung Woo’s murder case, arrives in Mucheon City, and Kang Jung Woo’s life also reaches a turning point. As they retrace the traces of the past one by one, Noh Sang Chul remarks, “This doesn’t make sense,” and continues to suspect that something hidden on that day 11 years ago.
