So Ji Sub Supports The Palestinian Film “The Voice Of Hind,” Participating As Co-presenter And Narrator

Actor So Ji Sub participated as a co-presenter in the film The Voice of Hind, which is set to be released on April 15 in South Korea.

Distributor The Contents On announced on the 17th that the main trailer and first poster have been revealed, with So Ji Sub also taking part in the narration.

“The Voice of Hind” tells the story witnessed through the real voice of a 6-year-old girl trapped alone in a bombed car in Gaza on January 29, 2024. Centered around an actual recorded phone call in which Hind, who was fleeing with her family, requested rescue from the Red Crescent, the film reconstructs those moments.

The film is directed by Kaouther Ben Hania, known for The Man Who Sold His Skin and Four Daughters. It also lists major names such as Brad Pitt, Joaquin Phoenix, Rooney Mara, Alfonso Cuarón, and Jonathan Glazer as executive producers.

Previously, the film set a record for the longest standing ovation in the history of the Venice International Film Festival and won the Jury Grand Prize. It was also nominated for Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards.

In particular, So Ji Sub’s narration in the trailer adds emotional weight. The short video shows the desperate five-hour rescue attempt for Hind, despite rescue teams being only eight minutes away. Her real recorded voice pleading for help deeply moves viewers, while So Ji Sub’s narration—“A witnessing that only cinema can deliver, something you cannot stop, avoid, or turn away from”—further intensifies the impact.
