Son Of Famous Korean Actor Couple Forwarded To The Prosecution On Charges Of Assaulting And Threatening Wife
The son of a well-known celebrity couple has been handed over to the prosecution on charges of assaulting and threatening his wife during their marriage.
According to Newsis on the 30th of October, the Guri Police Station in Gyeonggi Province transferred a 31-year-old man, referred to as A, to the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors’ Office on September 30 on charges of violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes (assaulting a driver), making threats, and obstructing business.
A is accused of hitting his then-wife, a 28-year-old woman referred to as B, in the face on September 29 last year in Gyo-mun-dong, Guri City, Gyeonggi Province, when she was about to drive. He allegedly took away her phone to prevent her from calling the police and threatened her.
It was reported that A and B finalized their divorce through mediation on March 5 this year.
In an interview with Newsis, B stated, “He had violent tendencies even when we were dating, but since we were about to get married, I just endured it. At the time, I thought things would be fine if I kept putting up with it, but when I saw how it affected my family, I regretted it.”
Meanwhile, A’s side responded, “When people argue in a romantic relationship, verbal disputes or physical contact can happen. the full facts of the case have not yet been revealed.”
