Son Ye Jin Reveals Why She Married Hyun Bin

Son Ye Jin revealed the reason why she married Hyun Bin.

Recently, Son Ye Jin attended the 28th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) Mega Talk and met with the audience. One audience member asked Son Ye Jin, “What aspects of Hyun Bin made you think ‘I want to be with him for the rest of my life’?” and asked about the reason for their marriage.

Son Ye Jin responded, “What a refreshing question,” and seemed momentarily taken aback, but gave an honest answer. She said, “Don’t actors meet their co-stars while working on a project? Many people date and get married, but I didn’t prefer that aspect,” and revealed, “There seemed to be fate. People around us kept saying that we resembled each other, so I thought, ‘Do we have a similar vibe?'”

She continued, “Actually, I was attracted to his personality a lot. In the olden days, he was like a scholar, a righteous and rational person. He wasn’t someone who would sugarcoat unpleasant things or package himself in any way. He had a very straightforward demeanor. And he was handsome and tall,” making the audience laugh.

Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin got married in March 2022. After working together in the movie ‘Negotiation’ and the tvN drama ‘Crash Landing on You’, they developed a real-life romantic relationship and became a married couple. The news of the relationship and marriage of these top stars became a hot topic, and the two were called the “couple of the century” and received many congratulations. In November of the year they got married, they even welcomed their son. After a two-year hiatus following the birth, Son Ye Jin is returning to acting by joining hands with director Park Chan-wook.

As she is preparing to return to the entertainment industry after giving birth, Son Ye Jin expressed her excitement, saying, “A lot has happened in the past two years. It feels like chapter one of my acting career has ended. It feels like I am entering chapter two now,” and revealed her anticipation, saying, “I am curious about what kind of acting I can show in the future.”
