“Marry My Husband” Actress Completely Missing From Her Own Upcoming Drama Teaser Despite Being The Female Lead
“Marry My Husband” actress Song Ha Yoon is making headlines after her upcoming drama edited her out of its teaser ahead of its release!
The upcoming drama “Pathetic History” [English title] had been in limbo, but it is finally set to be released. The drama stars many actors including Song Ha Yoon who was missing from the teaser.
On the 21st of February, the OTT platform Wavve released a teaser trailer for the drama on its official YouTube channel. The 1-minute and 40-second teaser features lead actor Jo Byeong Gyu, as well as Bang Min Ah, Ryeo Un, Jung Jae Kwang, Jung Yong Joo, Lee Min Ji, and Hwang Bo Reum Byeol, showcasing a balanced appearance of the cast.
However, Song Ha Yoon is nowhere to be seen despite being the 1st female lead of the project. Many speculate that its due to her unverified school violence accusations.
In April of 2024, she was accused of school violence. At the time, JTBC’s “Incident Chief” aired a testimony from an informant, B, who claimed that Song Ha Yoon had assaulted them without reason during high school. Following the broadcast, her agency, King Kong by Starship, denied the allegations, stating, “After confirming with the actress, she has no acquaintance with the informant, and we confirm that all claims are false.”
However, further testimonies later emerged on “Incident Chief,” claiming that “it is true that Song Ha Yoon was forcibly transferred due to group violence.” Additionally, one of the three alleged perpetrators who were said to have participated in the assault along with Song Ha Yoon admitted in a phone call with the informant, “That incident definitely happened. An apology should come first. If not, it would mean denying everything that happened.”
In response, King Kong by Starship stated, “None of these claims are true,” and announced legal action, including civil and criminal lawsuits against the informant and a potential injunction against “Incident Chief” to prevent further broadcasting.
Since then, “Pathetic History” had indefinitely postponed its release. Now, about three years after filming wrapped, it has been scheduled for release on Wavve and Watcha in February. However, the decision to erase Song Ha Yoon from the teaser suggests that the production is still mindful of the ongoing controversy.
Meanwhile, “Pathetic History” will be available starting on the 26th of February.
