Song Hye Kyo Reveals She Practiced Smoking For 6 Months In Preparation For “Dark Nuns”
Actress Song Hye Kyo revealed that she practiced smoking for six months to prepare for her smoking scenes in a film.
On the afternoon of the 20th of January, a press conference was held at Megabox COEX in Gangnam, Seoul, for the movie “Dark Nuns” (directed by Kwon Hyuk Jae). Present at the event were actors Song Hye Kyo, Jeon Yeo Been, Lee Jin Wook, Moon Woo Jin, and director Kwon Hyuk Jae.
“Dark Nuns” tells the story of individuals performing a forbidden ritual to save a boy possessed by a powerful evil spirit.
Song Hye Kyo shared, “I worked really hard on this film, so I hope to hear good feedback. I’ve put a lot of effort into promoting it, and while I feel nervous and pressured, I’m also excited. I hope many people will love it.”
Addressing her smoking scenes in the movie, she said, “This is my first time doing a smoking scene, and as a non-smoker, I had a lot of concerns. But when I thought about Sister Yunia’s character, I felt it was essential for the role. Although smoking isn’t a good habit, I started practicing six months before filming.”
She continued, “Since the first scene involved smoking, I didn’t want to fake it. So, while practicing my lines and acting, I also spent a lot of time learning how to smoke.”
“Dark Nuns” is set to premiere on January 24.
