Song Kang And Kim So Hyun Might Be Reuniting For This Upcoming Project, “Love Alarm” Fans Over The Moon
Actress Kim So Hyun might reunite with Song Kang after five years.
An entertainment industry insider told Sports Chosun on the 24th of February, “Kim So Hyun will star alongside Song Kang as the lead in ‘White Scandal.’”
“White Scandal” tells the story of Ji Eun Seol, a once-promising child actress who fell from grace overnight after taking the blame for her older brother’s crime. Unable to give up her dream of acting, she lives as a road manager and eventually meets Dan Yi Hyuk, who was at the center of her past incident. As they enter into a contract relationship, she begins to approach the long-buried secrets of the past. The drama is based on a popular web novel and is currently accelerating production.
Kim So Hyun will play Ji Eun Seol, a former child actress who is now working as a manager. She is a character who fell from grace due to a past incident involving Dan Yi Hyuk and later receives a proposal for a contract relationship from him. The drama will depict the emotional changes that unfold as she becomes entangled in a contract romance with Dan Yi Hyuk, played by Song Kang, drawing viewers deeper into the story.
If she accepts the role, she will reunite with Song Kang for the first time in about five years since Love Alarm. At the time, the two played Kim Jo Jo and Hwang Sun Oh, respectively, and stirred strong reactions among viewers. Their reunion is expected to be welcome news for fans who have been waiting for them to share the screen again.
“White Scandal,” based on a solid original web novel, will be written by Kim Ga Eun, who previously penned Call It Love. Directing will be handled by Kim Cheol Gyu, known for his detailed direction in Mother and Flower of Evil.
“White Scandal” is currently in the midst of casting, and filming is scheduled to begin in the second half of the year after Song Kang completes shooting for “Four Hands.”
