Staff Member Of Seo In Guk And Park So Dam’s Upcoming Drama Curses At Netizen During Filming, Production Company Apologizes
The production team of the TVING’s original series “Yi Jae, Will Die Soon” has apologized for the staff’s inappropriate remarks controversy.
On the 15th of May, the production company issued an official statement addressing the controversy. Earlier, a netizen claimed that while passing by the drama filming location, they took a photo for a foreign tourist’s request but received offensive remarks from the filming staff.
The author explained that they were unaware that they were in the process of preparing for drama filming when they received a request from a foreigner to take a photo. However, a man intervened, saying, “You’re getting in the background,” and prevented them from taking the photo. Furthermore, during this process, the man became angry without explaining the situation and even used offensive language, causing discomfort.
Following the controversy, it was revealed that the drama in question was ” Yi Jae, Will Die Soon.”
In response, the production team apologized in an official statement. Here is the full statement:
We are the production team of Yi Jae, Will Die Soon.
We have confirmed that there was inappropriate behavior by a hired assistant staff member on the day for cleaning and guidance of the filming location.
We sincerely apologize for causing discomfort due to our lack of meticulous attention during the production process.
We will make greater efforts to ensure thorough on-site management and prevent the recurrence of unfortunate incidents.
TVING’s original series “Yi Jae, Will Die Soon” is a life-transference drama where Lee Jae experiences 12 deaths and lives before plunging into hell. Based on the Naver webtoon of the same name, its led by Seo In Guk and Park So Dam.
The series is scheduled to be released on TVING in the second half of the year.
