Famous Hallyu Actress Honestly Comments On The Backlash Her Upcoming Drama’s Poster Received
Actress Suzy shared her thoughts on the poster controversy of “Genie, Make A Wish.”
Recently, actress Suzy appeared on the YouTube channel “Jo Hyunah’s Ordinary Thursday Night.”
That day, Jo Hyunah expressed concern and affection to her close friend Suzy by saying, “People only think that you live happily and comfortably. They say things like ‘How nice would it be to live like Suzy.’ But you never make excuses for those words.”
Suzy said, “I don’t like making excuses. I just think, ‘Everyone must have a hard time.’ I’ve never thought I’m special. It’s just that because my job has to shine in moments, I try to look at it objectively. I try to be strict with myself.”
To Jo Hyunah’s frustrated lament of “You never really indulge,” Suzy confessed, “I don’t like being excessive. Even if I feel it’s hard, I think it’s an emotion I have to handle on my own. So when you cry and express emotions, I think it’s good. Because I can’t do that, because I don’t express emotions.”

Suzy laughed saying, “These days I’m too busy so I can’t go. I don’t really like exercise.” However, having tried many exercises such as yoga, pilates, tennis, and ballet, she showed a pretty smile by saying, “I heard that balletcore trended because of me.”
After receiving the Best Actress Award through Coupang Play’s “Anna” and being fully recognized as an actress after being an idol, Suzy said, “Honestly, it was hard while doing it. Whenever I received an award, it always felt like the award wasn’t mine, but at that time I thought, ‘I’m glad I did this work. I really suffered a lot.’ It became a time to compliment myself a little and acknowledge myself.”
Meanwhile, Jo Hyunah talked about the Netflix “Genie, Make A Wish” poster public opinion, which will be released on October 3, and said, “Opinions are divided. People said, ‘Why did they make it look so much like a comic?’ Since it’s also a work by my favorite writer Kim Eun Sook, I had high expectations, but keeping it that way seems to have made it go viral well.”
Suzy revealed her way of thinking by saying, “We also had a lot of talk about the poster. But well, there must be a reason. The worldbuilding is special. Fantasy and reality are mixed, but there are also things to think about. It’s a work that will remain in my life, and I learned a lot. I hope the work does well.”
