The Identity Of The Body Double Of Choo Young Woo In The Hit Drama “The Tale Of Lady Ok” Gains Attention, Find Out Who He Is
The double for Choo Young Woo’s dual role in the hit drama “The Tale Of Lady Ok” has been revealed, and it’s none other than his younger brother, Cha Jung Woo.
Rising actor Cha Jung Woo is currently appearing as Choo Young Woo’s body double in the popular JTBC weekend drama “The Tale of Lady Ok” (written by Park Ji Sook, directed by Jin Hyuk and Choi Bo Yoon).
In the behind-the-scenes clip from episode 4, released released through the drama’s official website, the secret behind Choo Young Woo’s younger brother was unveiled.
Choo Young Woo has garnered attention for portraying two characters in “The Tale of Lady Ok”: Sung Yoon Kyum, Ok Taeyoung’s (played by Lim Ji Yeon) husband, and her lover Cheon Seung Hwi.
The revealed footage showcased Choo Young Woo working alongside his lookalike younger brother, who doubled for the character Cheon Seung Hwi. The duo’s towering height—both over 180 cm—and strikingly similar visuals drew significant attention on set.

Choo Young Woo instructed his brother, “Just follow what I do later,” as they practiced their lines together. The staff marveled at the siblings’ identical mannerisms and even their similar voice tones. Lim Ji Yeon remarked, “Even their voices are so alike,” expressing her amazement.
Choo Young Woo shared, “At home, we often rehearse lines together. He adjusts to me a lot. The director was looking for someone who resembled me. Since we share the same blood, he thought my brother would be the closest match, so he brought him in.” To this, his younger brother responded, “I’m not sure if I’m up to it, but I’ll give it my all.”
The younger brother, whom the crew unanimously acknowledged as Choo Young Woo’s doppelgänger, turned out to be rookie actor Cha Jung Woo. Born in 2002, Cha Jung Woo is three years younger than his brother, Choo Young Woo (born in 1999). He recently signed an exclusive contract with Just Entertainment, home to Yoon Kye Sang, Kim Sang Ho, Park Ji Hwan, and Kim Shin Rok.
Cha Jung Woo, whose real name is Choo Jung Woo, chose the stage name Cha Jung Woo for his career. He is set to officially debut on screen with the drama “Secret Affairs.” Based on the popular Kakao Entertainment webtoon of the same name, “Secret Affairs” (written by Lee Yoo Jin, directed by Yang Kyung Hee) is a joint production between Playlist Studio, Japan’s Fuji TV, and Kakao Entertainment.
Meanwhile, “The Tale of Lady Ok,” which premiered on November 30, has been steadily rising in popularity. It recorded nationwide viewership ratings of 4.2% for episode 1, 6.8% for episode 2, 7.8% for episode 3, and 8.5% for episode 4, according to Nielsen Korea. With each episode achieving new heights, the drama has already captured viewers’ hearts.
