Korean OTT Platform Accidentally Airs Finale Of Rising Drama Ahead Of Its Original Schedule
The Korean OTT platform TVING has officially apologized for accidentally uploading the final episode of the drama “The Defects” ahead of its original schedule!
On the 6th of August, TVING stated to Xports News, “On August 5, during the video distribution process for The Defects, an error in metadata matching caused Episode 8 to be temporarily uploaded instead of Episode 6. We sincerely apologize for the confusion caused to viewers.”
They continued, “TVING is taking this matter seriously and is working closely with the broadcaster and production company to prevent similar issues from happening again. We will use this incident as an opportunity to strengthen our internal system checks and management protocols to ensure this doesn’t recur.”
“The Defects,” which airs on ENA and is officially streamed on TVING, was supposed to have Episode 6 uploaded after its broadcast on August 5. However, TVING mistakenly uploaded the final Episode 8 instead.
The drama tells a gripping story of children abandoned by their parents who narrowly survive and seek revenge. It is scheduled to conclude with Episode 8 on August 12.
