The Two Renowned Stars Are Rumored to Reunite in an Upcoming Drama After 10 Years

Actress Uhm Jung Hwa and Song Seung Heon may reunite in the upcoming drama “My Precious Star.”

On January 14, Uhm Jung Hwa’s agency, Alien Company, confirmed that she is reviewing an offer to star as the female lead in the new drama “My Precious Star.” Similarly, Song Seung Heon’s agency, King Kong by Starship, stated, “Song Seung Heon has also been offered a role in ‘My Precious Star’ and is currently considering it.”

“My Precious Star” follows the story of South Korea’s top actress, Im Sera, who, after winning the youngest Best Actress Award at the peak of her career, faces a life-changing accident and embarks on a journey to reclaim her lost fame.

The drama will be directed by Choi Young Hoon, known for works like “Five Fingers,” “High Society,” “Sister is Alive,” “Good Casting,” “One the Woman,” and “Pandora: Beneath the Paradise.” The script is penned by Park Ji Ha, who previously worked on “Good Casting” and more. This marks their first collaboration in five years since “Good Casting,” raising expectations.

If Uhm Jung Hwa accepts the role, she will portray Im Sera, the former top star trying to make a comeback, while Song Seung Heon has been offered the role of Dok Go Chul, a bachelor detective.

Should the two stars confirm their participation, “My Precious Star” will mark their reunion after 10 years since their collaboration in the 2015 film “Wonderful Nightmare.” Fans are eagerly watching to see if this drama becomes their next project together.
