First Update From Famous Veteran Actor Following Personal Life Controversy Gains Attention

Actor Jung Woo Sung’s recent update has been revealed — he has become a regular subscriber of the magazine Sasangge, which is being republished for the first time in 55 years since its discontinuation in the 1970s.

Literary critic Ham Don Gyun, who is on the editorial board of Sasangge, recently shared, “Actor Jung Woo Sung, who supports the relaunch of Sasangge after 55 years, has become a regular subscriber. Thank you.”

Sasangge was first published in 1953 by Jang Jun Ha and was discontinued in 1970. During its nearly 20-year run, it once reached a peak circulation of 100,000 copies and had a significant impact on modern Korean history. News of its revival after nearly 70 years has received widespread attention.

Along with the announcement, a photo of Jung Woo Sung holding a copy of Sasangge was also released. This marks the actor’s first public update in eight months since he attended the Blue Dragon Film Awards in November of last year.

In late 2024, it was revealed that Jung Woo Sung is the biological father of model Moon Gabi’s child, which his agency confirmed on November 24. Following that, additional photos emerged of Jung Woo Sung embracing and kissing an unidentified woman on the cheek. Added to that, some women exposed the actor for allegedly sending them DMs on Instagram, which his agency also refused to comment on.

Moon Gabi later issued her own statement on December 28, she revealed she never asked for marriage and dispelled several rumors about herself in relation to this.

Meanwhile, Jung Woo Sung’s next project is the upcoming Disney+ series Made in Korea, set to be released in the second half of this year. Jung Woo Sung co-leads the drama alongside Hyun Bin.

The series is also the first TV project to be directed by Woo Min Ho, known for films like Inside Men, The Man Standing Next, and Harbin.
