“A Time Called You” episode 12 recap
The episode begins with Min Ju back in her body, she sees how differently people have been treating her because Jun Hee took over. Her brother tells her she’s improved so much and so do her friends.
After class, she tries to talk to Si Heon but he refuses knowing its not Jun Hee, he asks her to stop looking at him like that.
Feeling really down, she goes to the rooftop, In Gyu senses something is wrong so he goes looking for her, he sees her on a rooftop talking to Jun Hee.
Min Ju comes to the decision that its better she dies as a murder victim given how everyone portrays these people differently. Jun Hee is terrified of this but cannot get to her.
Min Ju runs into Oh Chan-Yeong and knows he’s now following her, she knows he’ll kill her.
In Gyu goes to Si Heon and tells him what he could read from her lips, they both panic and go looking for her.
At night
Oh Chan-Yeong follows Min Ju and he tells her he has a special surprise for her, he’ll inject her with something, however, before he’s able to do that, police get to him and arrest him, waking him up. Thus, the old Oh Chan-Yeong is back into that body and is terrified, he leaves the scene.
Min Ju feels helpless, so she goes to get a piece of glass she wants to kill herself.
In Gyu arrives there, Min Ju begs him to kill her, but he refuses. While Jun Hee tries talking some sense into her, its not going through. She feels trapped and alone, she ends up jumping to her death.
Si Heon gets to the scene and discovers In Gyu by her body, he cries saying how peaceful she looks and insists he killed her, he’s escorted by police.
In the present time, Jun Hee is back, she cannot do anything anymore. She takes the cassette tape for an ahjussi to fix it but he says its not playing. She takes a car near the Han River and tries to open it, it does.
She goes back to that specific moment before Min Ju committed suicide, she’s saved. She hugs Si Heon who arrives at the scene too. She then explains the situation to the two friends and how Oh Chan-Yeong has not been arrested.
At home, Jun Hee talks to Min Ju and assures her she’ll do well, she promises not to interfere anymore and says she knows how the words she said must’ve added to her pain.
In the morning, Jun Hee says goodbye to the family. She then asks In Gyu to burn the tapes. She then takes a trip with Si Heon who figured out its their last day together. they hug and kiss, Jun Hee says she hopes he’ll be able to find her in the near future.
Everything as they knew it disappeared. Including all the memories Jun Hee had of Yeon-Jun, there isn’t even any trace of him having been in her life.
At school, In Gyu asks if Min Ju is doing fine, she says she is, she says she had a weird dream where a girl said nice things to her. She says she can now see there are people here who support her, when he asks if she can tell, she says yes.
In the year 2011
Si Heon is now older, he runs a webtoon company with some staff members, he’s very hardworking.
At night, as he takes the bus, Jun Hee gets on. The old song by Seo Taiji plays reminding him he’s lost something profound, he asks if this is Min Ju, she says no. she gets off at a bus stop. He follows behind her. He draws closer to her knowing he’s found her.
