TVING has dropped the two final episodes of “Dreaming Of A Freaking Fairytale” aka “I Openly Dream of Cinderella” a couple of hours ago. here is a recap of its 10th and final episode!
“Dreaming Of A Freaking Fairytale” episode 10 recap
The episode begins with Jae-Rim reading the sweet letter Cha-Min left behind after what happened. He tells her she’s much stronger than she thinks she is and knows she’ll do well.
In a montage of past events, Jae-Rim recalls her past trauma and how she was unable to love herself or believe in herself. She wakes up the next day determined to do better, then she gets a call that Cha-Min was fired and Chungdam Heaven is going bankrupt, he didn’t even have time to prepare as they destroyed a lot.
Meanwhile, Cha-Min is drinking himself and crying due to what happened.
At night, Jae-Rim meets with Do-Hong, she returns the ticket and says she likes another man and won’t do this to him. She tells him she received a lot of help from him and thanks him.
At night, she decides to begin looking for a new job as an assistant webcomic illustrator.
She also begins standing up for herself a lot more to strangers. Meanwhile, Cha-Min is begging on the streets and even ends up stealing a loaf of bread before running away.
At night, Jae-Rim visits the destroyed Chungdam Heaven and runs into Cha-Min who was looking for the ring. He presents it to her and puts it on her finger saying he’d been wanting to do this. She tells him she likes him and they share sweet kisses. He tells her he loves her.
Then, she brings him to her step-mother’s house and they’re in awe of his handsomeness. He sleeps there, but reveals he still has his place despite what happened but wants to stay with her in this house.
At morning, he happily eats the meal prepared. Later, he visits his father who cut contact with him. He tells his father he loves him and even brings his mother to see him telling him he should live his joy.
Dan-A goes to Lady Hu in hopes of finding a new man with the checklist she wants. As she turns around because Lady Hu says she has to be okay with ugly men, she sees the talisman left by Jae-Rim, Lady Hu remarks its up to her fate now.
Later, Cha-Min’s father calls him asking him to take over his empire and that he should come back, but he refuses saying he can do it on his own.
Jae Rim gets a call from a producer about her drawings and he’s interested in short form videos. They schedule a meeting.
The stepmother gives birth to another girl surrounded by her daughters.
A while later, Jae Rim now has her own studio and is hard at work drawing. Cha-Min is by her side massaging her feet and back due to the hard work she puts in. The two end up sleeping together as she takes a break from her work.
Later, Jae Rim sees Cha-Min and the rest of the Chungdam Heaven members discuss how successful her short form video is and how they’re happy for her.
In voice over, Jae Rim says you should become the main character in your life not a supporting one.
The story ends with a cartoon version of Jae Rim and Cha-Min riding horses by the beach, together, on the same level. she’s her own prince charming on the horse.
