Pi-O goes to the press and blames himself for the crimes of his mother saying he drove her to do this to Jeong-Yo. In the midst of this, he gets informed that his grandpa is incredibly sick. The grandpa undergoes an operation but does not recover, the doctor tells them to prepare for the worst.
Pi-O goes to see his grandpa who requests to see Jeong-Yo too. He apologizes to both of them and says the way his daughter turned out is because of him and his greed. He apologizes on his deathbed. Then requests to listen to Pi-O’s playing a classical so he puts his phone for him to listen to it and leaves him be, when he returns, the grandpa passes away.

Pi-O’s mother is informed of this while in jail and is devastated. Due to this, Pi-O vows to never play again and packs everything up, he even sells his piano. Jeong-Yo meets up with him to understand whats happening and he says he feels guilty about everything including what happened to his hands and will not touch a piano again. He tries to talk to him but Pi-O leaves the room.
Jeong-Yo gets a call that his father has been found and talks to him, his father blames himself for what he did to his mother and how he feels he hurt her deeply, he feels he had no right to return and tells his son not to feel sorry for him or do anything for him.
Then, some time later Jeong-Yo reaches out to Pi-O, they take the bus and go to their past favorite place where they practiced, he even plays him the piano and explains his hands is all better, the same piano Pi-O sold. He tells him not to feel guilty and to play again. The two even play together like they once did.

After patching things up, the next day he hears Jeong-Yo has left and no one knows where he is. He tries searching for him but he’s disappeared.

Pi-O now plays in random places such as hospitals, villages and more, trying to live not by his name anymore. He seems happy. He also welcomes back his mom from prison and hugs her. The mom goes to visit her father’s resting place crying. While driving back, Hyun-Soo says he can’t live without her and they should take it easy and stay together.
Jae-In continues doing her work and is extremely busy but still makes time to see Pi-O. Pi-o Plays at a hospital and a doctor asks how his friend is, he’s shocked so he begs the doctor to spill the details.
The doctor reveals that Jeong-Yo’s hand was indeed badly injured but he came in one day requesting a shot to make it work but he was warned it would ruin his hand, but he took it. Then the doctor got worried when it was announced he retired and left the country.
Pi-O feels extremely guilty about this and decides to record and upload a video. A while later he gets a postcard from Czech republic and even goes there. In a monastery, he reunites with Jeong-Yo who now teaches kids’ choir.
