“Good Partner” Ending Explained
“Good Partner” wrapped up its run earlier today, here is a recap of its 16th and final episode as well as its ending explained!
“Good Partner” episode 16 recap
The episode begins with Yu-Ri meeting the newly hired attorney, Lee Han-na (Go Ah-sung). She briefs her on the job and she takes on a case as soon as she comes.
Woo-Jin, who became the CEO of his father’s law firm, is contacted by his mother who appears before him demanding divorce from his dad. Yu-Ri is assigned to work on her case.
Oh Dae-Gyu is absolutely shocked to hear this and argues with her, she leaves almost immediately as she doesn’t wish to argue with him. Oh Dae-Gyu lashes out on his son and scolds him for hiring a lawyer for his mother from their firm.
Thus, he goes to Eun-Kyung and hires her as his lawyer. He says his wife is also ungrateful and only cares for money.
At their 1st hearing, both lash out at each other in court as Eun-Kyung says her client does not want divorce. Through it, we find out that Woo-Jin is not her biological son but Oh Dae-Gyu’s son from a past woman he knew before he got married to her. He think she’s upset because she had to raise a child who is not hers.
Thus, the lawyers ask for mediation. Eun-Kyung meets with Woo-Jin to tell him his father seems hesitant and full of regrets. Thus, both lawyers set up a mediation.
Woo-Jin’s mother demands only $2 million, lower than what he thought she’d ask. Oh Dae-Gyu is not pleased but he had told Eun-Kyung he’d settle if she asked for this much.
Eventually, he gets on his knees to apologize before signing the papers, the wife sees this and starts crying, she consoles him and they make up.
Eun-Kyung and Woo-Jin meet later on and he thanks her for the hard work, she says he must’ve had it difficult with these parents, but he says its ok. She asks if he’s hiding anything else from her, he says no, he doesn’t confess his feelings.
On another day, Eun-Kyung tells her daughter that if she wants, she can let her meet her dad. Confused, Jae-Hee meets with Yu-Ri and asks her what to do. Yu-Ri says she regrets not being upset to her dad’s face because he died before she could do that. She encourages her to meet him and mend the relationship bit by bit.
Hearing from Yu-Ri. Eun-Kyung calls Ji-Sang, she asks him to see her and get together starting next week.
At a dinner on another day, Yu-Ri and Eun-Kyung meet up. Yu-Ri reveals Eun-Ho gave her a ring but she’s not sure of her answer. Eun-Kyung tells her what she needs to make sure of is doing her best to make sure she did the best for the decision she made so she won’t have regrets.
Ji-Sang and Jae-Hee meet up and end up spending more time together rebuilding their relationship.

At court, Yu-Ri and Eun-Kyung meet again, Yu-Ri is defending a man with 6 mistresses while Eun-Kyung is defending his wife. Due to differing opinions, they will end up having to meet for an entire year working on this case.
The two women walk out of the courthouse and get food together.
