“Gyeongseong Creature” Season 2 episode 7 recap

The episode begins with Seung-Jo asking Ho-Jae why he continues fighting, he says he wants to do his best to remind them its not ok and even if thats not possible, he still wants to fight to be a nuisance so they never forget.

While on the car ride, Seung-Jo deliberately crashes it injuring Chae-Ok. She tries to dissuade him but he doesn’t listen. The police officer then shoots him in the eye as he’s about to kill Chae-Ok. Then, a bunch of Jeonseung group men appear to take care of him.

Chae-Ok barely helps the police women out and then both fight these creatures, Seung-Jo is furious and asks who sent them. Chae-Ok ultimately gets surrounded by them and is captured.

Back at the plant, Ho-Jae and the captain are fighting. Ho-Jae captures the venom but the captain tells him won’t it come in handy when he has to fight Madam Maeda.

We go back to the past when Yong-Gil begged her and risked his life to get Ho-Jae back. Detective Myung-Joon gets the call from his fellow detective and leaves the scene but doesn’t take his assistant who ends up ratting him out and getting him into a serious car crash.

Ultimately, Ho-Jae heads to the secret lab downstairs and faces Madam Maeda who is still bitter, she asks him if he thinks all human lives are the same. He says yes but she disagrees, she tells him he now has a choice, to save 3 of his friends or Chae-Ok who was held captive and will be drowned. He panics and then out of anger injects her with the potion. He then begins breaking down the glass to get downstairs as she unleashed the monsters and they’re about to attack his friends.

Eventually, he fights them but somehow telepathically communicates with it telling it to stop as he knows its in pain.

Chae-Ok is held captive by the captain who then watches her drown. He says its a shame he has beautiful eyes and is curious why she’s not afraid of death.

Watching the situation unfold, Madam Maeda decides to release nitrogen gas. The three men barely escape via the elevator. Ho-Jae tells them where the exit is and to call the cops.

Chae-Ok is drowning and her Najin tries to protect her but eventually escapes her body, The captain says he wants that Najin. Ho-Jae rushes to her and breaks down the tank.

In the meantime, Seung-Jo shows up to Madam Maeda and he’s furious. She says she should’ve killed him 1 year ago as he kept trying to connect with human emotions and she didn’t raise him to have some. He apologizes before he shoots her wit his monster arms and then shoots her with a gun and then plunge her down to the tank where the monsters lie. She dies slowly burning by the nitrogen, she says, ‘how lovely.’

The three men escape and the detective realizes his partner is the one who tried to kill him but he lies and says there is no one left inside when asked. They also obtain an emergency search warrant.

The captain goes back to the tank to discover its been destroyed and the Najin is dead.

A while passed

they arrested Jeonseung CEO and interrogate him. We don’t know the exact outcome.

Chae-Ok is now living like a normal girl with no memories of the past but she has a reoccurring dream where she chases after something but doesn’t know what it is. She’s walking down the street and then pauses when she feels like she’s seen someone she knows. She ultimately stops in her tracks and Ho-Jae also stops, they look at each other from afar.

Seung-Jo seems to have taken over the empire and the CEO of Jeonseung is by his side, he makes a sound and Seung-Jo tells him to carry on. He watching over an operation of the same potion being filled and ultimately put in water bottles that get distributed to normal people. What does this mean? Is Seung-Jo trying to poison the entire population?
