the episode starts with Chi-Ung showing his true colors after kidnapping Tae Ju. He says he’ll operate on Gyeong-Ae, then Tae Ju says ‘with what skills?’ the three man drive there with Tae Ju still being treated as a hostage. Then, Man-Hui lashes at Chi Ung and says with what skills and odds can he treat his wife. He tries to counterstrike, but gets shut down by Man-Hui who is inches away from killing him until Tae Ju interferes, he runs away.
Gyeong-Ae’s condition worsens and the decision is made that Tae Ju will operate on her. He calls his father-in-law asking to prepare an operating room. He also talks to Se Yun and tells her to go stay with her parents.
Tae Ju gets into the OR and saves Gyeong-Ae despite running into some issues in the middle of the operation, but before he closes up, he tells Man Hui to send all the evidence to the police or else he won’t finish her surgery. This forces Man Hui to do so and the police finally gets the full picture.
Chi Ung threatens a poor supermarket lady and takes away her car, he arrives at the hospital furious at what happened and how Tae Ju operated on Gyeong-Ae. In the meantime, Se Yun overhears her dad talk about Tae Ju and rushes to the hospital, there she sees Chi Ung who is furious and holding a knife, he stabs her in the back but police gets to him before he finishes her off. Chi Ung blames her for everything.
The surgery of Gyeong-Ae ends and Man Hui attempts suicide but is stopped by Tae Ju who blocks the knife he tried to stab himself with. However, since he stopped it with his hands, he’s hurt in it.
He then finds out his wife was stabbed so he rushes to the operating room to operate on her and save her, he asks, ‘I am not late this time, right?’
Man Hui gets arrested and so does Chi Ung who continues to claim he’s innocent. Se Yun’s father also turns himself to police for his crimes.
At the police station, Se Yun gets brought in once again to see the full video of Tae Ju requesting to get rid of his wife. It turns out he wanted help so she leave his life and be happy.
She goes to see him after that and explains she wants divorce. Its just that their way of loving each other is so different. The two get a divorce and part ways.
Tae Ju works now in his own practice and mostly treats elder patients, his hand is better but not fully there yet. However, he’s much happier. He even jokes now, we find out he has not kept in touch with Se Yun at all.
He goes to visit his daughter and runs into Se Yun there. He sees she has the same tool they once held on during a rock climbing date they’ve had. She tells him she’s going for a walk, he comes along with her.
