Famous Korean Singer Boasts About The Extravagant Gift BTS’s J-Hope Gave To Him

Crush boasted about his friendship with BTS‘s J-Hope and the extravagant gift he gave to him.

On the December 11 episode of MBC’s Radio Star, Crush appeared as a guest.

Known as the “Collaboration Fairy,” Crush shared, “I’ve collaborated with Zico, Zion.T, Taeyeon, Lee Hi, and others.” When Kim Gura asked, “What about IU?” Crush replied, “Not yet. IU invited me as a guest for her concert, and I did the same for her. We also appeared in YouTube content together, but we haven’t collaborated on a song yet.” He added that while he hasn’t worked with Sung Si Kyung either, he’s been sending demo tracks and attempting to collaborate.

Crush said his most memorable collaboration was with BTS’s J-Hope for the song Rush Hour. “I was very nervous because J-Hope is such a global star. But he was incredibly kind. During recording, he kept pushing himself to do better. It was touching. For the music video, there was a dance scene we practiced together. While I spent nearly a month rehearsing, he nailed it in just 30 minutes. I was deeply moved.”

Dubbed a “Wedding Song Machine” after Yoo Jae Ha and Sung Si Kyung, Crush shared, “Recently, I sang at Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon’s wedding, and also at Dynamic Duo’s Choiza’s wedding.” He also revealed a memorable experience: “One day, J-Hope contacted me, saying his older sister was a fan and asked if I could sing at her wedding. While singing, I felt nervous because the BTS members were seated in the audience—it felt like an audition.”

Crush revealed that J-Hope later gifted him a custom microphone as thanks, which he frequently uses in concerts. The microphone, encrusted with Swarovski crystals, was custom-designed by J-Hope and reportedly costs around 10 million won (~$7,500 USD).

Kim Gura remarked, “BTS operates on a different scale. When Sleepy appeared on one of my programs, he mentioned that RM gave him 10 million won as a wedding gift. The scale is just different.”
