Kim Jong Kook Gets Married Today, Yoo Jae Suk Officiates The Wedding
Singer Kim Jong Kook is getting married.
On September 5, Kim Jong Kook held a private wedding ceremony at an undisclosed location in Seoul, inviting only family, relatives, and close acquaintances. His longtime friend Yoo Jae Suk officiated the ceremony.
Other than the fact that the bride-to-be is a non-celebrity, no further information has been revealed.
On August 18, Kim Jong Kook announced his marriage through a handwritten letter posted on his fan café. He wrote, “I always thought the day would come when I would write something like this, and I’ve been preparing myself for it in my heart. But now that I’m actually writing it, I’m more nervous and shaken than I imagined. I’m getting married.”
He continued, “This year marks my 30th debut anniversary, and instead of making an album I wanted, I made my other half. I hope you’ll still congratulate me and cheer me on. I will continue to work harder and live diligently.”
Earlier in May, Kim Jong Kook purchased a 243㎡ apartment unit at ‘Nonhyeon Apelbaum 2nd Phase (3rd Complex)’ in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, for 6.2 billion won, which sparked marriage rumors.
Meanwhile, Kim Jong Kook debuted in 1995 as a member of the group Turbo, releasing hit songs such as “Reminiscence” and “White Love.” Since 2001, he has been active as a solo singer and is currently appearing on SBS variety shows “Running Man” and “My Little Old Boy.”
