16 artists and producers from HYBE’s music labels have been invited to join the Recording Academy® as voting members.
On July 9 (local time), the Recording Academy announced that Bumzu, Zico, SEVENTEEN’s Woozi and Vernon, TXT’s Yeonjun, ENHYPEN’s Jungwon, LE SSERAFIM’s Huh Yunjin, and KATSEYE—along with producers Slow Rabbit, Supreme Boi, and Wonderkid—have officially been selected as new voting members.
The Recording Academy is a historic organization representing professionals in the music industry such as artists, songwriters, producers, and engineers. Founded in 1957, it has been organizing the Grammy Awards since 1959. Voting members have the right to vote for Grammy winners. These newly invited HYBE members will begin voting privileges starting with the 68th Grammy Awards, scheduled for February 1, 2026. They will also be eligible to participate in Academy events and offer input as members.
The Academy selects new members each year based on peer evaluations by existing members. Those selected go through the required procedures to officially join.
HYBE’s current voting members already include chairman Bang Si Hyuk, the 7 BTS members, and producer Pdogg.
HYBE commented, “The selection of our artists and producers as new Recording Academy members reflects the growing influence of K-pop in the global music industry and highlights the global stature of HYBE’s music labels.” The company added, “We will continue to support our artists and producers as they expand their global reach and increase HYBE’s presence within the Recording Academy.”
