A tragic death occurred at a festival where the group TXT (TOMORROW X TOGETHER) performed.

On the 5th (local time) of April, a crane collapsed during the large-scale Latin American music festival “AXE Ceremonia” held at Parque Bicentenario in Mexico City, resulting in the deaths of two people. Following the incident, local authorities canceled the festival.

The Mexico City government released a statement through the Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection Agency, saying, “The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. due to strong gusts of wind that caused the metal structure to shake and fall on two people.” The two victims, known to be photographers, received emergency treatment at the scene and were rushed to the hospital but unfortunately passed away. The Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation to determine responsibility for the accident.

Notably, TXT became the first K-pop group to perform at “AXE Ceremonia.” Following the incident, TXT expressed their condolences to the victims.

Through their official X account, TXT stated, “We extend our deepest condolences for the tragic accident that occurred during the festival. We pray for the souls of the deceased and send heartfelt comfort to the bereaved families, friends, and colleagues affected by this sorrowful time.”
