5 Members Of Highly Underrated PLEDIS Girl Group Sign With New Agency, What Happens To The Group Now?

Five fromis_9 members—Song Hayoung, Park Jiwon, Lee Nagyung, Lee Chaeyoung, and Baek Jiheon—have signed with a new agency.

On January 26, a new agency named ASND officially announced the news via a statement to the press.

ASND stated, “We recognize that continuing their team activities must have required a lot of thought and courage. We are truly grateful to these artists for making this brave decision to journey with us, and we promise to provide full support and encouragement so they can achieve their dreams.”

The agency continued, “We sincerely hope that the stages and music created by these artists will deliver deep emotions and special memories to fans. Discussions regarding the use of the team name are still ongoing with their previous agency. For 2025, we are preparing for diverse and meaningful activities.”

ASND also revealed, “In addition to showcasing the artists’ musical passion and growth through album activities, we are planning solo concerts to connect with fans.”

Lastly, the agency added, “We ask for your warm interest and affection so that every step of their journey becomes a special and shining moment.”

The nine members of fromis_9 collectively left PLEDIS in late 2024. PLEDIS has been heavily criticized for its management of the group. fromis_9 originally debuted in 2018 after forming through Mnet’s audition program, Idol School, and transitioned to Pledis Entertainment, a HYBE subsidiary, in 2021.

Many fans wonder what the next step for the members are and whether fromis_9 can reunite again as 9 members.
