ADOR’s New CEO Reportedly Held An Emergency Meeting With NewJeans And Their Parents Ahead Of September 25 Ultimatum
Various Korean media outlets are reporting that two days before the final deadline for the ultimatum to reinstate former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, the members of NewJeans met with current ADOR CEO Kim Joo Young.
According to an exclusive report by Ilgan Sports on September 24, the NewJeans members, accompanied by their parents, held an urgent meeting with ADOR CEO Kim Joo Young on the 23rd.
Previously, NewJeans went live without ADOR’s knowledge on the 11th of September, publicly requesting that Min Hee-jin be reinstated by the 25th and that ADOR return to its pre-conflict state. The group expressed distrust in the current ADOR CEO, Kim Joo-young, accusing her of dismissing allegations of bullying within HYBE due to a lack of evidence.
Initially, HYBE gave a very vague statement, the newly appointed CEO Lee Jae-sang said, “Although it may take time, we will respond calmly and in accordance with principles.”
This was interpreted by Korean media outlets as a way that suggest that HYBE is unlikely to meet NewJeans’ demands, with his emphasis on “principled management” signaling a refusal to overturn the board’s decision.
And on September 23, one media outlet reported that HYBE will not publicize their decision in regards to NewJeans’ ultimatum but the article has since been deleted.
