Chaebol Kpop Idol To Resume Studies, What Happens To Her Activities In The Group?
Annie (23, real name Moon Seo Yoon), a member of the co-ed group ALLDAY PROJECT(Annie, Tarzan, Bailey, Woochan, Youngseo), is resuming her studies.
According to her agency THEBLACKLABEL on the 14th of January, Annie will return to Columbia University in New York, USA, later this month. Annie, who is majoring in Art History and Visual Arts, will attend the spring semester, which runs until May. Until the semester ends, it is expected to be difficult for her to actively carry out team activities as before.
Annie is the maternal granddaughter of Shinsegae Group General Chairwoman Lee Myung Hee and the eldest daughter of Shinsegae Chairwoman Chung Yoo Kyung. She entered the entertainment industry as a member of ALLDAY PROJECT, which was launched last June by THEBLACKLABEL led by music producer Teddy, formerly of the group 1TYM. Annie had been continuing her activities with All Day Project while on a leave of absence from college.
Previously, Annie appeared on JTBC’s variety program “Knowing Bros” and revealed the story behind her college admission, saying, “My parents said that if I wanted to become a singer, I had to get into an Ivy League school.” On MBC’s variety program “The Manager,” she drew attention by revealing that she scored 1530 on the SAT (the U.S. college entrance qualification exam), which has a perfect score of 1600.
Later on the same day, Annie released a statement to fans, she wrote,

I was told at the beginning of last year that I couldn’t extend my leave of absence any further, so at that time I told the members and the company in advance and made the decision.
And me, I have exactly one semester left!
I worked really hard and earned a lot of credits before, so if I attend for just one more semester, I graduate.
Until early May, so about three and a half months… will you wait for me?
During that time I’ll attend school diligently, do a lot of music work in the U.S., and I’ll have days off often too, so don’t worry too much.
And actually… even if I leave on the weekends, because of schedules I end up having to come to Korea almost once or twice a monthㅎㅎ
