Another Member Leaves Kep1er, Youngeun Departs The Group
Kep1er member Seo Youngeun will be leaving the group.
On the 6th of March, agencies WakeOne and KLAP Entertainment announced through their official channels the shocking news. The group will continue as a six-member group moving forward.
The agencies said that after several discussions with the idol, the decision was made for her to conclude her activities with the group.
Originally, in July of 2025, both agencies announced the hiatus of Youngeun due to health issues. They stated that with the advice of medical professionals, she’ll focus on taking a hiatus and resting.

First, we sincerely thank Kep1ian and everyone who has always sent unwavering love and support to Kep1er.
We would like to inform you about Kep1er’s future activity plans. Kep1er will continue activities as a six-member group consisting of Choi Yu Jin, Xiao Ting, Kim Chae Hyun, Kim Da Yeon, Hikaru, and Huening Bahiyyih.
Along with this, Seo Youngeun, who has shared a precious journey as a Kep1er member since their debut in 2022, will conclude her activities with the group.
Our company and Seo Youngeun had long and in-depth discussions regarding her future direction in activities, and after careful consideration, this decision was made.
The Kep1er members also respect Seo Youngeun’s decision based on the trust they have in one another and are sending their support.
We sincerely thank Seo Youngeun, who has shown more sincerity and passion than anyone as a member of the team.
We truly support her future endeavors.
Kep1er will begin a new chapter as a six-member group and will do their best to present even better music and performances to Kep1ian. We ask for your warm encouragement and continued love for Seo Young Eun, who will walk a new path, as well as for Kep1er, who will continue activities as six members.
